Liphook village laundry service saved

Residents of a Hampshire village have come to the rescue of a laundry service for elderly and disabled people.

The service for anyone in Liphook who had difficulty doing their own washing was threatened when funding from Age UK ended.

The laundry had been run by Diane Allen, 83, for the last 20 years.

More than £6,000 was raised by the local community in order to keep the service going.
