MP raises fears over bird pollutant

A Dorset MP has criticised the release of an oil additive into the sea after hundreds of birds were affected.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said polyisobutene (PIB) could be released under certain conditions.

South Dorset MP Richard Drax described the substance as "disgusting stuff".

The RSPB has said it wanted PIB discharges outlawed.
