New Forest study into woodcock birds starts

A study of woodcock birds has begun in the New Forest, Hampshire.

The wading bird is largely nocturnal and its camouflage makes it difficult to spot during daylight hours.

Researchers will use special cameras at night to trace the birds and attempt to electronically tag them.

The New Forest National Park Authority is funding the project.
