Parents call for new trial of acne drug Roaccutane
The parents of a man who took his own life after taking an acne drug have called for further assessments of its potential risks.
Heather and David Roberts say their son Olly, 32, suffered from anxiety and depression for 11 years after he took a course of Roaccutane.
They are part of a group which claims the drug has contributed to a number of suicides and is calling for a new trial.
Manufacturer Roche said the benefits of Roaccutane outweigh the risks, and it had been used to successfully treat thousands of patients.
BBC Midlands Today's Lindsay Doyle reports.
