Kian Dale death: Neighbour saw parents smoking as baby drowned

The parents of a toddler who drowned in a bath have been jailed after being found guilty of manslaughter.

Lisa Passey, 28, and her former partner Wayne Dale, 46, left 13-month-old Kian Dale and a two-year-old child alone while they entertained a friend in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire.

Passey was sent to prison for four years. Dale received a four-and-a-half-year sentence at Worcester Crown Court.

A neighbour, Maria Fernandez, said she had seen the pair smoking in the garden.
