Ladybirds 'as fast as racehorses'

A new study has found ladybirds can fly as fast as a racehorse and at altitudes of more than 3,600ft (1,095m).

Research led by the University of Hull has discovered the insects can travel at speeds of up to 37mph (60km/h).

The study has also found that ladybirds are capable of flying for up to two hours at a time.
