World War One: Hull FC star's heroic dash

The story of a World War One hero who was also a rugby star in Hull and received the Victoria Cross.

Jack Harrison was a free-scoring winger for his home town rugby league team, Hull FC.

He joined the East Yorkshire Regiment and, during the fighting in France in 1917, his bravery was posthumously recognised with the award of a Victoria Cross.
