Hull FC's historical roots revealed

Hull FC is commemorating 150 years since its foundation and roots that grew from a city centre church.

The rugby league club was formed in 1865 by a group of ex-public schoolboys and St Mary the Virgin, in Lowgate, played its part.

The club became a founder member of the Northern Union, as rugby league was then known, in 1895 as one of 22 clubs to bring the new code into being.

BBC Look North's Simon Clark has been digging up the historical roots.
