Civil defence bunker in Gravesend given Grade II-listed status

A 1950s concrete nuclear bunker in Kent has been given Grade II-listed status.

The civil defence bunker in Gravesend constitutes a rare surviving example of a purpose built civil defence control centre, which would have been used in the case of a Soviet air attack, English Heritage said.

BBC South East's Ian Palmer spoke to Melanie Norris from Gravesham Borough Council.
