Failed Millennium Dome diamond raiders captured on CCTV

One of the failed Millennium Dome robbers has been jailed for 13 years after he tried to raid a cash depot but botched it.

Raymond Betson and unknown offenders targeted a Loomis cash depot in Swanley but drove a digger into the wrong wall.

Betson had been jailed in 2002 for being a member of the gang that tried to steal diamonds worth £200m from the Millennium Dome.

The bungled heist in 2000 saw several raiders smash their way into the site using a digger but police caught them red-handed after a receiving a tip-off.

CCTV footage captured the men attempting the raid before armed police foiled their attempts.
