Racing driver turns artist after Brands Hatch crash
Racing driver Roger Pedrick was on the verge of turning professional when a devastating accident at Brands Hatch race track in Kent left him paralysed.
Mr Pedrick, who raced Formula Ford cars, spent seven years in hospital after the crash during a test drive in 1977.
He began to paint as a pastime, holding the brush between his teeth and using a machine that holds the canvases and spins the paintings.
His first solo exhibition of paintings has opened at Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.
South East Today's Ian Palmer spoke to Mr Pedrick and Jonathan Palmer, the owner of Brands Hatch.
