Scout jamboree death: Head teacher pays tribute to Charlie Girling

A 12-year-old scout who died at an international jamboree in Finland has been described by his head teacher as "well-liked" and "very hard working".

Charlie Girling, of the 1st Aylesford Scouts, in Kent, collapsed on Sunday at Roihu 2016, near Hämeenlinna.

The youngster had been a Year 7 pupil at Maplesden Noakes School, in Maidstone.

Jane Prideaux said staff were "deeply shocked and saddened" by his death.
