Flytipping CCTV released in Canterbury

An investigation into flytipping on the site of a disused pub has led to footage being released.

Canterbury City Council said tonnes of rubbish have been dumped at the privately-owned Share and Coulter site in Greenhill.

The council said it had spent more than £21,000 clearing the site over the past year because of the impact it was having on nearby residents.

In February, contractors removed 74.1 tonnes of general waste, 11 lorry loads of rubble and four tonnes of asbestos, it said.

Douglas Rattray, the council's head of safer communities, said: "We would really like to speak to the people in these images as they could have valuable information that will help us and the police."
