Prized Lancashire sheep sells for £10,000 at Skipton auction
A Lancashire farmer and butcher was shocked when his pedigree Beltex sheep sold for nearly £10,000 at an auction.
With the average cost of a ram being about £500, George Cooper, 24, from Baxenden, said he did not expect his prized Hudhey Tenacious to fetch as much as he did at Skipton Auction Mart.
Mr Cooper said: "I knew he was good but I didn't think he was maybe that good."
Hudhey Tenacious was bought by farmer Henry Jewitt, reports Jessie Phillips for North West Tonight.
