Leicester Glenfield Hospital hosts Japanese doctors

Doctors from Toho University in Japan visited Leicester's Glenfield Hospital to learn from its heart experts.

The Japanese visitors wanted to know why the city's specialist unit has survival rates twice their own when using Ecmo - ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation.

The Leicester service, which oxygenates the blood of seriously ill patients, faces an uncertain future because of an ongoing NHS review.

East Midlands Today's Rob Sissons reports.
