Welland Rivers Trust says rivers can 'self dredge'

Conservationists who have been working on restoring the River Welland in Leicestershire to its natural state have said better water management could prevent flooding.

Victoria Robinson, from the Welland Rivers Trust, said dredging was not always the answer and that allowing the water to follow its natural course was far more effective.
