Leicestershire residents spot escaped wallaby

An escaped wallaby has been spotted bouncing around a snow covered Leicestershire village.

The marsupial, native to New Zealand, was seen by residents at about 09:00 GMT in Rookery Lane, Wymondham.

Owner Vernon Moore, who lives nearby, said his pet called Thumper was a bit of an "escape artist" and was probably out looking for a new girlfriend.
