Battersea Power Station revamp set to start in 2013

Plans for the £8bn redevelopment of Battersea Power Station have moved a step closer with the completion of the site's sale.

The Malaysian consortium, comprising S P Setia, Sime Darby and the Employees Provident Fund, claim work to create thousands of homes, a new Tube station and retail area will start next year but many local people say they will believe it when they see it.
