Heathrow capacity loss 'costs UK billions'

A new report commissioned by the owners of Heathrow Airport suggests Britain is losing billions of pounds a year in trade because the airport is not big enough.

The research by Frontier Economics will be passed to Sir Howard Davies who is looking at ways to increase capacity at UK airports.

Heathrow bosses are keen to see a third runway built at the west London airport but the government has ruled it out for the time being.
