Tech City workers 'could leave' if planning laws changed
IT entrepreneurs in Tech City in east London have said a government plan to turn office blocks into homes to solve London's housing crisis could lead to talented workers abandoning the capital.
Ralph Cowling from This Is My Jam and Ana Bradley from Shoreditch Works have questioned the impact this could have on local businesses.
The Institute of Directors support the plans, and believe it should be extended from offices to shops and warehouses.
A deadline for councils to apply for areas to be exempt from the new laws ended last Friday.
