Whipps Cross Hospital 'unsafe and dirty'

A north-east London hospital has been described as having a "catalogue of failings" following unannounced inspections by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Whipps Cross Hospital was found to have "unsafe and dirty conditions with staff who sometimes didn't show compassion".

Barts Health NHS Trust has apologised.

BBC London's Karl Mercer spoke to Leanne White, whose stepfather died in the hospital, Matthew Trainer from the CQC and Sandra Reading from the health trust.
