London girl may have gone to Middle East to fight jihadists
A 17-year-old from north London may have travelled to the Middle East to help in the fight against jihadists.
Silhan Ozcelik was last seen catching a Eurostar train from St Pancras nearly a month ago. Police have revealed a 21-year-old man she travelled with returned to London and was arrested under terrorism legislation.
In footage, Silhan is seen six weeks ago at Westminster, protesting with hundreds of Kurds about the lack of international intervention in the Middle East. "Our people are dying," she says.
Her friend Fatma Murat tells Nick Beake she understands her motivation.
Met Commander Simon Bray urges young people not to travel to the region.
