London mayor Boris Johnson calls for more devolved powers

London mayor Boris Johnson has added his name to a letter calling on Westminster to devolve more powers to regional government in England.

It comes on the day a cross-party commission, set up in the wake of the Scottish referendum, recommended that Edinburgh should have sweeping new controls over tax.

BBC London's Karl Mercer spoke to Andrew Carter from urban policy research unit Centre for Cities.
