Greater Manchester Police charged over PC's shooting

Greater Manchester Police and two of its officers are to be charged over the shooting of a PC on a training exercise, the Health and Safety Executive has said.

PC Ian Terry, 32, from Burnley, was shot in the chest by a colleague in 2008.

The Crown Prosecution Service said there was not enough evidence to bring criminal charges.

Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan paid tribute to PC Terry.
