World's media visit Manchester Museum's rotating statue
An ancient Egyptian statue pictured slowly rotating inside its glass case at Manchester Museum has captured the imagination of the world's media.
The 10ins (25cm) high stone statue, dating back to 1,800 BC, was captured moving on a time lapse video.
Museum staff have been inundated with press requests from various countries, including Russia, Canada and New Zealand.
Theories for the movement have ranged from vibration caused by nearby traffic to visitor footfall.
