Ramsbottom United FC celebrates Non-League Day
While star footballers, high-profile managers and major club owners may lead glamorous and well-rewarded lifestyles, many people involved in lower reaches of non-league football will find there is no job too big for them.
Ramsbottom United FC's founder and chairman Harry Williams brings in the pies, makes the tea and operates the turnstile at the club - which plays in the seventh tier of English football.
With the help of ballboy and life member Jack Wolfenden, 79, he helps to keep fans coming back to the club to watch the team play.
Their dedication - and that of others like them around the country - was celebrated on national Non-League Day on Saturday, a day which promotes semi-professional and grassroots football. And the team secured its first point of the season against Cheshire rivals Northwich Victoria FC in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.
