From Street to Trench exhibition marks WW1 anniversary

The North West's contribution to the World War One is the focus of a new exhibition in Salford.

From Street to Trench at the Imperial War Museum North marks the 100th anniversary of the conflict.

Over 200 objects, films, sound recordings, photographs, artworks and letters are on show.

The exhibition also features previously unpublished stories of soldiers, sailors and pilots who fought in all major campaigns of WW1.
