Mark Slater: Killer lorry driver's road rage past

A lorry driver convicted of murder for driving over a motorist's head on the A57 Manchester Road at Rixton, near Warrington, had a history of road rage attacks, a court was told.

The jury at Chester Crown Court was shown footage of Mark Slater, 47, from Oldham, kicking a car belonging to Jordan Ogden in Oldham last December.

Slater was jailed for life for murdering Trevor Allen, 56, from Salford, on 15 April.

The court heard the attack on Mr Ogden began when Slater tried to cut in at a roundabout after he had got in the wrong lane.

Mr Ogden, 24, described the prolonged series of events that followed as "like an animal hunt", adding: "It looked like he wanted me and he wanted me dead."
