CCTV witness appeal after car crash at Hopwood Hall College

Police have released CCTV of a car crashing into a building in Greater Manchester, badly injuring the driver and narrowly missing two pedestrians.

The car crossed the central reservation and crashed into Hopwood Hall College, Rochdale, on Saturday evening, police said.

Officers would like to speak to the two witnesses on the pavement at the time who narrowly avoided being hit.

The 21-year-old driver suffered head injuries and was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.
