Seeing the solar eclipse with a cereal box

A partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK between 08:30 and 10:30 GMT on Friday.

Alan Goodman from the Met Office tells the BBC North West Tonight's Mark Edwardson how you can make a simple and cheap solar viewer using an empty cereal box.

The BBC News website will provide live coverage of the eclipse from 07:30GMT.
