Danger warning issued after boy, 16, dies in River Etherow

A warning not to cool down in open waters is issued by police after a 16-year-old boy's body is recovered from the River Etherow in Greater Manchester.

The boy, named locally as Jack Pullen, was pulled from the river in Broadbottom, near Hyde, on Tuesday evening.

Police believe he had been playing with friends in the water before the "tragic accident" on what the Met Office said was the hottest day of the year.
