Hockey player Robert's record bid

Retired teacher Robert Adams from St Helens is awaiting confirmation that he has set a world record - after playing a full match in the North West Hockey League aged 84.

Mr Adams played a full 70 minutes for West Derby Hockey Club's third team against Golborne in the North West Hockey League on Saturday.

The record is currently held by 83-year-old Roger Jones from New Zealand.
