Footage of 1996 IRA bomb in Manchester

Twenty years ago, the biggest bomb on mainland Britain since World War Two detonated in Manchester.

The device exploded in a lorry parked by the IRA in the city centre on 15 June 1996. About 220 people were injured although no one died.

Aerial footage from a police helicopter shows the moment the bomb blew up, sending mushroom clouds into the sky.
