Liverpool band MiC LOWRY to support Justin Bieber on tour

Liverpool boy band MiC LOWRY have been invited to open the show for Justin Bieber on the European leg of his Purpose World Tour, starting this month.

The five friends, who grew up within a mile of each other, will be the only British band on the road with the Canadian star from 29 September.

They were "chosen on merit" because the singer's team "all loved and appreciated the groups talent," a spokesperson for the band's management said.

Ben Sharples, Kaine Ofoeme, Akia Jones, Delleile Ankrah and Michael Welch all went to Calderstones School, which counts John Lennon among its former pupils.
