Bawsey Pits: Ideas wanted for future after lakes tragedy

The owners of a series of lakes in Norfolk where two people drowned last year have received more than 400 suggestions on what they should do with the site.

Bawsey Pits, near King's Lynn, was previously used for sand and gravel extraction.

Swimming is banned but the ban is widely ignored. Last summer, Ryan Pettengell, from King's Lynn, tried to find a teenager missing in the water. Both died.

As part of moves to prevent further tragedies, the owners have been asking for the views of local people on the future of the pits.
