Lewis Hamilton's journey from Stevenage to the new Mercedes W08

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton developed a love for cars while growing up in the Hertfordshire town of Stevenage.

He began karting when he was eight years old and within four years he had been signed by McLaren.

Now, the 32-year-old has put the first laps on the Mercedes car he hopes will make him world champion for the fourth time in 2017.

Before Hamilton's new Mercedes W08 was unveiled at Silverstone, the BBC retraced the 56-mile (90km) route from his hometown to the home of the British Grand Prix.
