Lung cancer study launched in Cambridgeshire

Thousands of people in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire are to be invited to join a study into the early detection of lung cancer.

Papworth in Cambridge is one of two hospitals in the UK examining whether a national screening programme, similar to those already in place for breast cancer, could save many lives.

Men and women between the ages of 50 and 75 are being invited to take part.
