Wildlife concerns over proposed Derby cycle track

Wildlife groups are fighting plans to allow an outdoor cycle track to be built on a nature reserve in Derby near Pride Park stadium.

The city-backed plans would create the track on the Sanctuary Reserve near the soon-to-be-built city velodrome.

The city council has said the track would avoid the most sensitive nesting areas.
