Housing fears near Toton HS2 station site grow
Residents in Toton, Nottinghamshire say the area needs more businesses and jobs rather than housing after the local authority lifted building restrictions on greenbelt land.
On Monday Broxtowe Borough Council removed the protection on 41 hectares of land which is close to the proposed HS2 station and line.
There is already a plan for up to 500 homes to be built in the area.
