Nottingham university research 3D travel

The University of Nottingham is leading research into how virtual reality could help people overcome the stresses of flying.

The £2.8m project is being carried out in Germany where headsets are being created to help passengers forget about anxieties over turbulence, noise and flying.

Researchers say passengers could soon be wearing them on planes to give the impression they are being transported to a tropical island and create "a better flight experience".
