Victoria Centre drilling noise keeps residents awake

Residents living near the Victoria Centre in Nottingham have said builders are drilling into nearby walls at night and making their lives a misery.

One council tenant recorded the sound in his flat late at night and said it had been affecting his sleep.

The work is being carried out as part of £40m improvement works at the shopping centre.

The Victoria Centre's owner Intu apologised and said it would bring forward a meeting to hear residents' concerns.
