Oxfordshire soldiers reunited with families

Soldiers from Oxfordshire have been reunited with their families after a six month deployment in Afghanistan.

There were emotional scenes at Dalton Barracks near Abingdon, as around 90 members of 4 Logistic Support Regiment arrived home on Tuesday.

Maj Lee Whitebread said there was a sense of relief amongst the regiment.

But he added: "Whilst we are focused on our guys coming back and the sense of relief we feel that our minds are also on the regiment that has just taken over from us."
