Disabled golfer Andy Gardiner goes professional

An Oxfordshire man believes he has become the first amputee ever to play as a professional golfer.

Andy Gardiner from Fritwell near Bicester lost his leg in an accident nearly ten years ago, and only took up golf last year after getting a prosthetic limb.

He went on to win the Disabled European title, but has now decided to turn fully professional.

He played his first shot on the Jamega Pro Golf Tour at Five Lakes Resort in Essex.
