Last chance to see historic Banbury signal box

Thousands of people have signed up to see a piece of railway history in Banbury before it is demolished.

The town's north signal box predates World War 1, with the building constructed in 1900.

It uses Victorian technology and is being replaced to allow the network to be run electronically.

Heritage campaigners say the tours, which run to October, allow visitors to "feel the way the signalman worked and lived his life".
