School building named after crash victim Howard Hillsdon

A school has named a building after a former pupil who was one of four people killed in a car crash in Oxford in 2005.

Howard Hillsdon was 21 when his car was hit by a vehicle coming the other way on the A4142.

Three 13-year-old children travelling in the other car also died in the crash in May 2005.

The refurbished breakfast and music room at Yarnton's William Fletcher School is now the Howard Hillsdon Room.

Howard was born in the village, and his parents still live there.

The idea was suggested by his mother Julie Hillsdon, and his father Graham Hillsdon made the sign for the building.
