Tolkien's Santa letter to his children

He may have been a world-famous author, but Lord of the Rings writer JRR Tolkien also used his talents to entertain those closer to home.

In a BBC series looking at the "wonders" of Oxford's museums, Catherine McIlwaine, archivist and curator of next year's Tolkien: Maker of Middle-earth exhibition at the Bodleian Library, shows us the Santa letter he wrote to his children.
