Special Olympics torch relay begins in Much Wenlock

The Special Olympics torch has been lit in Shropshire ahead of the GB national games which begin in Sheffield in August.

The former England football manager Sam Allardyce was guest of honour in Much Wenlock where the relay began. The event is backed by the Football League Managers' Association.

The games, which are for athletes for learning disabilities, will begin on 7 August.
