Sheffield's Northern General Hospital gets £2m helipad

A £2m helipad at a Sheffield's Northern General Hospital has been formally opened.

The hospital said it would help it to "save valuable time and lives".

Fundraising for the new facility began in 2014.

The hospital's previous helipad was more than 20 years old and could not be used at night.
