UHNS launches 'care at home' scheme for patients
A Staffordshire hospital has begun using private nurses to treat patients at home in a drive to clear beds.
University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent says the scheme will create capacity for an additional 41 patients.
It said it will 'closely monitor' the three-year pilot, which will cost £8m.
BBC Midlands health correspondent Michele Paduano reports.
