National Memorial Arboretum service marks Armistice Day

His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex joined crowds at the National Memorial Arboretum to pay tribute to servicemen and women killed in action since World War One.

The service at Alrewas, in Staffordshire, included prayers, words of remembrance and a two-minute silence.

Music was provided by the band of the Royal Corps of Signals.

It was one of many services across the UK and further afield, which also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1.
